Social Work Supervisor at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center $10,000 Hiring Bonus

This position reports to the Director, Care Management or designee. Duties include but not limited to providing resources and consultative support to social work team on a daily basis; assisting in overseeing the daily social work operations throughout the ministry; assisting in ensuring competency of social work caregivers; assisting in maintaining compliance to professional social work standards and regulatory requirements; assisting in ensuring policies and standard works are up-to-date; collaborating with other behavioral health and ministry leaders; supporting physicians and caregivers in delivering quality health care to patients; oversight of Emergency Department Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Act regulation Designation of Staff in a Non-LPS Designated Facility program and all related projects. Performs quality reviews of assessments and 5150 performed by the LPS qualified care team. The Supervisor of Clinical Social Work has the ability to perform the same duties of the Medical Social Worker/LCSW Specialty job description(s).Ensures all duties are performed in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Providence mission and core values.
Master's Degree in Social Work
Two (2) years medical social work experience in an acute/psychiatric (mental health) hospital/medical setting
One (1) year clinical medical social work supervisory or management experience
LCSW licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)
Designated as Clinical Social Worker to perform 5150 evaluations within eighteen (18) months of hire
All LCSWs must follow the guideline by Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health for LPS designation and keep their designation in current status
Ability to become CCS-paneled medical/clinical social worker within eighteen (18) months of hire
Current LA City Fire Card within thirty (30) days of hire
