Providence Executive Director Perioperative Services in Santa Rosa, California
Provides leadership, direction and oversight of the Perioperative Services. Leads continuous quality and process improvement and a balance scorecard in each clinical area, including quality of care and service, physician relations, financial performance and growth. Works in collaboration with the COO Acute Ops and the local surgical Executives to coordinate and standardize delivery of clinic services across perioperative services for PSJHH. Plays a leadership role or participates in continuous performance improvement activities throughout the organization and develops and ensures compliance with clinical standards.
Responsible for all identified outcome measures as denoted on Performance Assessment.
Developing/managing the strategic plans for the assigned departments.
Analyzing current/new service delivery models to develop change recommendations.
Developing/implementing/monitoring quality improvement initiatives to enhance/streamline current procedures/processes and take advantage of regional synergies.
Establishing and ensuring that overall objectives relating to consistency of standards and customer service are achieved.
Mentoring management staff responsible for clinic operations for the procedural areas.
Actively engages in the development and implementation of the strategies that align with the strategic plan for the Region.
Determines opportunities to improve the value of care and services to patients and families.
Identifies and supports community outreach, philanthropy and marketing initiatives that may enhance the development of new business or research opportunities.
Actively provides operations consultation and engagement at an institutional level for perioperative and interventional services for the organization.
Ensures the integration of perioperative and interventional services planning into nursing resource management strategic planning and operational budgets.
Provides vision, direction and leadership to procedural services.
Works collaboratively across organizational lines to facilitate perioperative and interventional services operations and ensure patient needs are met.
Acts as a change agent and manages organizational change efforts to ensure operational effectiveness.
Leads program planning, implementation and evaluation efforts for Procedural Services both at a strategic and tactical level.
Provides management development and coaching for other members of the team.
Represents the medical center at state, local and national levels through involvement in professional associations and organization.
Facilitate the development and implementation of evidence based practice and quality efforts.
Maintains an environment that promotes patient safety, high reliability of processes and quality outcomes.
Participates in and ensures areas of responsibility consistently meet ongoing regulatory and accreditation readiness sustaining a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
Assists in the development Develops and oversight of departmental budgets and assures financial accountability for annual operations and capital expenditures and budgets.
Assures efficiencies in staffing and resource utilization by comparison with internal and external benchmarks as measured by both internal and external productivity measures for areas of responsibility.
Established reputation as a leader, consultant, and spokesperson for perioperative and interventional services.
Cultivates a culture that promotes and rewards professional growth, interdisciplinary collaboration, constructive communication, flexibility, teamwork, and customer service.
Maintains a focus on internal talent management and retention.
Promotes PSJHH Perioperative and Interventional programs both internally and externally.
Participates in educational programs.

Required experience/education for the position include:
10 or more years of Management experience.
Experienced Surgical Services leader with successful experience building and leading a team to achieve desired outcomes and goals.
Understanding and a successful track record of exceptional standards of patient/customer experiences, quality service, fiscal goals and physician relationships.
