Providence Manager Clinical Laboratory in Santa Monica, California
Description
The manager is responsible for overall organization, financial/budgetary, planning, personnel and management of the core laboratory. This individual is responsible for clinical, technical, administrative, regulatory, and financial management and improvement of core laboratory programs to ensure effectiveness, quality and efficiency. This individual is accountable and responsible for the overall core laboratory operations to include but not limited to setting objectives, planning, staffing, and managing activities of assigned departments/areas of responsibility including laboratory, anatomic pathology, and transfusion services. The manager ensures professional and customer focused core laboratory services to meet the needs of customers in accordance with accepted standards and practices as well as develops operational infrastructure and implements processes to support new business opportunities and technologies. The Manager is an expert on laboratory testing, processes and procedures and regulations. This individual develops metrics to monitor and measure key service and quality indicators. The manager will perform all duties in a manner that promotes team concept and reflects the Providence Health System mission and philosophy. Reports to the Administrative Director of the Laboratory.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology
Upon hire: National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology Or
Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California Or
Upon hire: California Clinical Chemist Scientist License Or
Upon hire: California Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist License Or
Upon hire: California Clinical Microbiologist Scientist License Or
Upon hire: California Clinical Toxicologist Scientist License Or
Upon hire: California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist License Or
Upon hire: California Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist License Or
Upon hire: California Clinical Hematology Scientist License Or
Upon hire: California Clinical Histocompatibility Scientist License Or
Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist Biochemistry Special License
5 years Sufficient experience in all areas of the laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree Health Care Management Or equivalent educ/experience

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
