Clinical Nurse Supervisor, NICU - Saint Johns Health Center
$20,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
The Clinical Supervisor (CS) is a responsible for assisting the Nurse Manager or Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit. It is expected that the CS manages and coordinates the unit, directs and supervises caregivers, functions and activities, interprets policies/procedures/protocols, standards, and regulations as appropriate. CS's scope of responsibility spans all aspects of nursing care. The CS maintains clinical competence and certifications to assist the unit when required.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Nursing required upon hire (Clinical Supervisors employed prior to 1/1/17 who have not obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing are required to obtain BSN within 3 years from 1/1/17)
RN license in state(s) of hire, and wherever care is delivered. If RN holds a multistate license through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), the RN must adhere to the requirements of licensure in the new state(s) of hire
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or Military Training Network (MTN) upon hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be from AHA or MTN
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be from AHA or MTN
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) must be from American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) /AHA
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) must be from Emergency Nurses Association (ENA)
3 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital required in specialty area
1 year Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience
Master's Degree in Nursing
ANCC recognized specialty certification
Shared Governance experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and electronic communication
