Providence Staff RN - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Apple Valley, California
Within the identified roles of Practitioner, Teacher and Leader, the staff Registered Nurse provides collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs. The staff Registered Nurse implements and evaluates care delivery based on predicted outcomes while anticipating potential responses provides assessment, treatment and care throughout the hospital and outlying clinics. The staff Registered Nurse will practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies. The Staff Registered Nurse works independently under limited supervision directly reporting to the Unit/Department Supervisor, Director of Assistant Vice President.
Associate's Degree - Or equivalent educ/experience
Coursework/Training - Other training as specific to unit requirements.
Coursework/Training - Environmental Orientation within 30 days of hire.
Coursework/Training - General RN competency within 30 days of hire.
Coursework/Training - Unit Specific competency within 90 days of hire.
Preceptor / Mentor: Preceptor Mentor competency prior to first schedule Preceptor/Mentor shift.
Rapid Response: Role Specific competency prior to first schedule RRT shift.
Ccu/Icu, 601000-K01: ICU competency within 90 days of hire.Telemetry competency within 90 days of hire.
Clinical Decision Beds, 723000-K01:Unit Specific competency inclusive of Telemetry Nurses requirements within 90 days of hire.
Mother Baby Unit, 638000-K01: Post-Partum competency within 90 days of hire.
North East Telemetry, 615003-K01 AND North Medical Surgical, 617000-K01:- Unit Specific (Telemetry) competency within 90 days of hire.
Wound Care, 787810-K01: Unit Specific competency within 30 days of hire.
Preceptor / Mentor: 18 months experience in hospital nursing practice.
Rapid Response: 18 months experience in critical care area.
Team Leader: 2 years of recent RN experience in an acute care hospital.
Team Leader: 6 months recent experience in the hospital department involved or in a different department, either at St. Mary Medical Center or elsewhere, with similar patient care responsibilities.
6 months:Surgery (PACU/OPS/GI), 742100-K01: Recent experience (PACU, ICU, and/or ED).
2 years: Surgery (Anesthesia), 742100-K01: Experience in OR, ED, ICU or PACU.
Knowledge of team members’ scope of practice.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 607000-K01:
NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
PALS certification within 6 months of hire.
Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics (Vendor Managed)
Preferred Qualifications :
2 years Experience in a hospital environment.
2 years - Team Leader, Cardiac Cath Lab, 757000-K01: Experience in hospital nursing practice.
2 years - Team Leader, Surgery (Surgical Services), 742100-K01: Experience in hospital nursing practice.
